Terms of Service
Last updated: August 20, 2026
From everyone at colorontable, thank you for using our site. We built it to help you discover recipes by color and flavor and cook with more confidence at home. Because we do not know every visitor personally, we put these Terms of Service in place to keep the platform operating smoothly and fairly.
When we say "Company", "we", "our", or "us" in this document, we are referring to colorontable.
When we say "Services", we mean our websites, including colorontable.com, and any product created and maintained by colorontable. That includes recipe browsing, color and concept filters, saved recipes, account features, and related content, whether delivered in a web browser or another format.
When we say "You" or "your", we are referring to the individuals who visit the site or own an account with one or more of our Services.
We may update these Terms of Service ("Terms") in the future. Whenever we make a significant change to our policies, we will refresh the date at the top of this page and take any other appropriate steps to notify account holders when practical.
When you use our Services, now or in the future, you are agreeing to the latest Terms. There may be times where we do not exercise or enforce a right or provision of the Terms; however, that does not mean we are waiving that right or provision. These Terms do contain a limitation of our liability.
If you violate any of the Terms, we may suspend or terminate your account. That is a broad statement and it means you need to place a lot of trust in us. We do our best to deserve that trust by being clear about how the site works and by keeping an open door to your feedback at support@colorontable.com.
Account Terms
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password (or linked sign-in method, such as Google). The Company cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with this security obligation. We recommend using a strong, unique password and, where available, additional account protections.
- You may not use the Services for any unlawful purpose, to harass others, to distribute malware, or to attempt unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts.
- You may not systematically scrape, crawl, or harvest content, images, or data from the Services in a way that burdens our infrastructure or copies our catalog for competing commercial use without our prior written permission.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account, including recipes you save and information you submit in your profile.
- You must be a human. Accounts registered by bots or other automated methods are not permitted. We may use security checks (such as bot-protection challenges) to help enforce this.
- Staff or admin access, if granted, is limited to authorized personnel and may require additional authentication. Misuse of staff tools is grounds for immediate termination of access.
Using colorontable
colorontable is a recipe discovery and cooking inspiration service. You may browse published recipes, filter by plate color or concept, save recipes to your account when signed in, and share links to public recipe pages.
Browsing published recipes is free. Creating an account is free and is used for features such as saving recipes and managing your profile. We do not currently charge subscription fees for standard consumer use of the site. If we introduce paid features in the future, we will describe pricing and terms clearly before you purchase.
Recipes, cook times, difficulty labels, calorie estimates, ingredient lists, preparation steps, and any health-related notes (including ingredient benefit descriptions) are provided for inspiration and general information only. They are not medical, nutritional, or professional advice. Always follow safe food handling practices, account for allergies and dietary needs, and consult a qualified professional when appropriate.
Content and Intellectual Property
- Recipe text, images, branding, layout, and design on colorontable are owned by the Company or used under license, unless otherwise stated. You may use the Services for personal, non-commercial cooking and browsing.
- You may not copy, republish, or commercially exploit our recipe catalog, images, or site design as a competing product without express written permission from the Company.
- If you submit feedback, suggestions, or other content to us, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use that feedback to improve the Services. You retain ownership of your own personal information and account data as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Third-party trademarks, product names, or linked resources remain the property of their respective owners.
Cancellation and Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. You may request account deletion by contacting support or using account tools when available.
If you delete your account, we will remove or anonymize personal account data from active systems within a reasonable period, subject to legal retention requirements and backups. Saved-recipe associations tied to your account will no longer be available to you after deletion.
We have the right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse current or future use of our Services for any reason at any time, including for violations of these Terms, abuse of the platform, or security risks. Suspension means you may not be able to access the account or content associated with it. Termination may result in deletion of account data.
Verbal, physical, written, or other abuse (including threats of abuse or retribution) of a Company employee, contractor, or other users may result in immediate account termination.
Modifications to the Service
We design the service with care and aim to keep recipe pages and account features available. However, we reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, any part of the Services with or without notice. Features may change as we improve browsing, search, recommendations, and publishing tools.
Uptime, Security, and Privacy
Your use of the Services is at your sole risk. We provide these Services on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We take availability and security seriously, but we do not offer rigid service-level agreements.
We reserve the right to temporarily limit access if usage significantly exceeds normal patterns in a way that threatens stability or security. We will attempt to contact the account owner when practical, except in emergency cases.
We take measures to protect data through industry-standard practices such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. We use third-party vendors and hosting partners (for example, hosting, database, authentication, and security providers) to operate the Services. Those providers process data according to their own policies and our agreements with them.
We do not sell your personal information. How we collect and use personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Features and Bugs
We design our Services based on product goals and user feedback. There is no software that pleases everybody. We make no guarantees that recipes, recommendations, filters, or timing estimates will meet your specific tastes, dietary needs, or cooking outcomes.
As with any software, our Services may have bugs. We track reported issues and prioritize security and reliability fixes. Not all reported bugs will be fixed immediately, and we do not guarantee completely error-free Services.
Liability
You expressly understand and agree that the Company shall not be liable, in law or in equity, to you or to any third party for any direct, indirect, incidental, lost profits, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses resulting from: (i) the use or the inability to use the Services; (ii) the cost of procurement of substitute services; (iii) unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data; (iv) statements or conduct of any third party on the service; (v) food-related outcomes, allergies, or health effects from following recipes or information on the site; or (vi) any other matter relating to these Terms or the Services.
In other words: choosing to use our Services means you are placing confidence in us for inspiration and convenience. Cooking results, dietary choices, and kitchen safety remain your responsibility. We do our best to present recipes clearly and operate the site carefully. Thank you for placing your trust in colorontable.
