About
Last updated: July 21, 2026
colorontable is a recipe site for home cooks who choose dishes by plate color and flavor mood. We publish practical recipes you can cook on a weeknight or when hosting guests—clear amounts, timed steps, and notes you can use at the stove.
Who runs this site
colorontable is run by a Western cuisine chef with 20 years of professional kitchen experience across Australia and Korea. Recipes are written and edited for real home kitchens: clear amounts, timed steps, and notes that help when something goes wrong.

How we create recipes
- Practical detail first: Each recipe aims for usable cook notes—texture cues, heat levels, substitutions, storage, and common failure fixes—not generic filler.
- Why these ingredients: When we explain ingredients, we focus on why they matter in this recipe (ratios, salt, acidity, texture), not boilerplate nutrition claims.
- Photos: When I shoot cooking steps, those are real kitchen photos. The main hero image may use AI-assisted styling if I do not have a suitable photo yet.
- Staff review: AI tools may help draft structure or metadata, but published recipes are reviewed and edited before they go live.
What we are building toward
We want a catalog of carefully finished recipes—deep enough that someone can cook with confidence on the first try—plus kitchen insights and ingredient guides that connect back to those recipes.
